George Edward Nelson, 97, of West Palm Beach. Florida passed awy on November 22, 2017 at Savannah Cove, West Palm Beach. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he had been a resident of West Palm Beach for a year coming from Sebastian, Florida. During World War II he served in the U.S. Navy. Prior to retirement he was a salesman for Citigas. Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Barbara Nelson; his daughters, Sally Hermely and her husband Scott of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Bonnie Buchner and her husband Jeffrey of Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey, Joann Fink and her husband Art of Wellington, Florida and Barbara Leigh Capps of Ashville, North Carolina; his sons, Jack Nelson and his wife Patty of Hampton Beach, New Hampshire and Jim Nelson and his wife, Cindy of Palm Springs, Florida; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Arrangements are under the direction of the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City.Obituary
