Mary Jo Smith, 79, of Jacksonville, FL passed away Thursday, February 27, 2020. She was born on February 10, 1941 in Orlando, FL to the late Burl and Mary (Smith) Wheeler. Mary Jo was of the Baptist faith and a member of Riverstone Community Baptist Church. She loved her baby dolls, doing puzzles and being outside, Mary Jo will forever be remembered for her love for her family, friends and being “Granny Gran”. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Mary Jo is preceded by her parents, daughter, two brothers and two grandsons. She is survived by her children, Ronnie (Connie), Donna (Gary), Patty (Tony), Robert (Karla), Tammy (Chris) and Missy (Walt); siblings, Mildred, Mary Ann, Edith, John, Sandy, Russell and Tonya; 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Monday, March 2, 2020 in the Jacksonville Memory Gardens Chapel with Pastor Rick Baldwin officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00am until service time.
