Bernard Paul Orgovan, age 87, passed away at his home in West Branch, MI on Friday, November 18, 2016 with his family by his side. He was born on August 29, 1929 in Uniontown, PA to Charles and Julia (Kozak) Orgovan. Bernard served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired from Michigan Consolidated Gas Company after 44 years. He was a craftsman, an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors. Bernard is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Orgovan of West Branch, MI; step sons, Jim (Faith) Denton and Scott Denton; daughter in law, Janet Orgovan; granddaughters, Teri (Kevin) Jones, Hannah Rozar, and Nina Orgovan; great grandchildren, Monica Jones, Zachery Jones, and Colton Jones; brother, Vincent (Marge) Orgovan; sister in law, Ann Orgovan; and many loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Julia; siblings, Frank, Martin, Thelma Elek, Charles, Edward, and Teresa Hanzelyy; children, Bernard Orgovan Jr. and Charles Orgovan. Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch, MI will begin on Monday, November 21, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Celebration of Life Mass at 12:00 p.m. The family will begin to receive friends at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Father Patrick Maher will officiate. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Peaceful Acres in West Branch where an activity and outdoors fund will be created in Bernard’s memory.
