Eileen Ethel Croston of Dawson Creek passed away peacefully in her sleep February 26, 2020 at the age of 94 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. Mom had a love of cooking, gardening and nature. No one will ever smell fresh baked bread without thinking of Mom’s honey buns. She had a fierce love of the outdoors and gardening, and shared that love with her children and grandchildren. "Wherever a beautiful soul has been there is a trail of beautiful memories." Eileen was predeceased by her loving husband Melvin and leaves a loving legacy of 6 children, Ken (Sylvia) Heinrichs, Carole Miller, Deborah Bart, Rebecca (Robert) Kotyk, Stephen Croston, Timothy (Julie) Croston, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. You can shed a tear that she is gone, or you can smile because she has lived! You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back, or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left. Your heart can be empty because you cannot see her, or you can be full of the love that you shared. You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember her and only that she is gone, or you can cherish her memory and let it live on. You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back, or you can do what Mom would have wanted: Smile, open your eyes, love and go on! -David Harkins
