Buddy Darras age 77 of Raton, passed away Wednesday February 5, 2020 in Raton. He was born May 15, 1942 in Raton, NM, the son of Leon and Sara Cardenas-Darras. Buddy was a veteran of the United States Army and retired as the Administration Assistant for the Texaco Company. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary Lou, daughter, Angela Blazon, son Ronald Mondragon, brothers, Joseph ., William, sisters, Rosalie La Doux and Stella Trujillo. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Medina and husband Pete , two sons, Daniel Mondragon and Buddy Darras Jr. One sister Mary Valenauela and husband Felix, three brothers, Louie, Ernie and wife Diane and Larry, Numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mass of the resurrection will be Saturday February 29, 2020 at 10:30 A.M. at the St. Patrick’s-St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Raton with Father William Woytavich as the celebrant. Rite of Christian burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Raton. A reception following the services will be at the Parish Hall. Arrangements and celebration of love for Buddy Darras are under the direction of the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home of Raton.
