Frank Cooney, age 79 of OakBank, MB passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Beausejour hospital. He is survived by his wife Janet of 57 years. Also his three sons, Jim (Leanne), Brent, Kevin and all his grandkids; Casara, Kendra, Kierra, Mandy, Jayden and Brianna. Frank was born in Boissevain, MB to Jim and Muriel. Soon to follow were his brother Idris and sister Tywlana. Frank began his working career at the age of 14 for BACM weighing gravel trucks. Through his career he wore many hats; mechanic, carpenter, painter, plumber, electrician, trucker and many more. Retiring at the age of 65 then 68 and finally at 73. He kept busy his last years working on his tractor cutting grass and cutting wood and spending time with his grandkids. A funeral service for Frank will be held on Monday, January 20, 2020 at 1:00pm at Seasons Funeral Chapel, 576 Balsam Crescent in OakBank. Interment at Sunnyside Cemetery.
