A private graveside service for Merlin Tom Brockette, 81, was conducted Tuesday, July 22, 2014, in Rosehill Cemetery. Merlin Tom Brockette left for heaven in his sleep, Sunday, July 20, 2014. He was the only child of A.M. and Ida Brockette. Tom was of the Baptist faith, an Air Force veteran, retired teacher-counselor and tennis coach in Tarrant County. He was very proud of his two daughters, Rebecca and Tammy. They survive him, along with cousins, Carolyn, Nancy and Mack McKee; many friends and excellent care givers at Itasca Homestead Nursing Home.
