Deanna G. Ullrich Obituary

Deanna G. (Driver-Piatt) Ullrich, age 78, of Council Bluffs, passed away November 6, 2016 at CHI Mercy Hospital. Deanna was born February 6, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Lowell and Grace V. (Cave) Dollen. She moved to Persia, Iowa at the age of eight and graduated Persia High School in 1956. Deanna married Raymond Driver and to this union three sons were born Dale, Daniel, and Duane. For 40+ years, Deanna owned and operated Deanna’s, a bridal shop in Mall of the Bluffs and Westwood Mall in Omaha. She then turned it into a ministry of prosthesis for mastectomy patients. Deanna moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas and continued helping patients. She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Country Church and Stephen Ministries. In addition to her parents, Deanna was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Raymond Driver in 2001; 2nd husband, Gene Piatt in 2012; son, Dale Driver in 2011; infant sister, Delinda; and brothers, Richard and Donald Dollen. Deanna is survived by her husband, Arlen Ullrich, whom she married on May 3, 2015 and his family; sons, Daniel Driver, Duane (Stacey) Driver; daughter-in-law, Mardrana “Babe” Driver all of Council Bluffs; 8 grandchildren, James, Jessica, Jason, Jilliann, Madde, Shelby, Crystal and Chris, 6 great grandchildren, Kaden, Jaxson, Jace, Brinleigh, Christoph and Amelia; brothers, Dennis “Ben” (Billye) Dollen of Harlan, Iowa, David (Kathy) Dollen of Council Bluffs; stepsons, Lade (Mary) Piatt, Richard Piatt all of Omaha; sister-in-law, Patsy Dollen of Bella Vista, Arkansas; many nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family, Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. at Cutler-O’Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Funeral service, Thursday, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Bob Smith will officiate. Interment Valley View Cemetery, Persia, Iowa with a lunch following at PIC Hall in Persia. Memorials are suggested to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure
