Dolores Ann Lester Obituary

Dolores Ann (Jacobs) Lester, 82, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2016. She was born in Piedmont, OK to William and Martha (Stover) Jacobs. She graduated from Piedmont High School, moved to Oklahoma City and met the love of her life, James Ross Lester, who she married April 1956. Dolores retired from Lucent after 17 years. She was a faithful member of The Bridge Assembly of God in Mustang, OK. She loved the Lord her Savior and enjoyed outings with the church, get togethers with her lady friends, and her Prime Time group was dear to her. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; sister Dorothy Jacobs, brother Verden Jacobs; and husband James Lester who passed away in 2010. She is survived by her son, Mark Lester (Denise); daughter Jami Dolan (Mike); and daughter Ginger Morris (Donald); her seven grandchildren, David West, Heather Lester, Zach Lester, Michael Vaughn, Aaron Lester, Cordell Lester and Mia Bunting. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and caregiver. She will be missed by all, but is in heaven celebrating. The family would like to thank Arbor House Assisted Living in Mustang and Tender Care Hospice for the loving, attentive care they extended to our precious Mom. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 2:00pm at The Bridge Assembley of God Chapel, Mustang, OK and burial will follow at Mathewson Cemetery, Piedmont, OK. Viewing will be held on Wednesday from 1 to 8 pm at McNeil’s Funeral Service in Mustang, OK. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to Missions Work through The Bridge.
