Payton Wayne McCarty

Payton McCarty, 26 of Grandview, formerly of Maypearl, passed away Friday, November 4, 2016 in Dallas. He was born in Amarillo on February 28, 1990. Payton was a brilliant craftsman. He was creative, inventive, and passionate about his many trades. He loved riding his motorcycle that he customized to all his specifications. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family being outdoors. If you had seen him inside, it’s only to be watching his beloved Sooners, for he was a die-hard OU fan. He was known to his family and friends as the “grill master,” but also thoroughly enjoyed cooking, especially breakfast foods. Payton loved his wife and children with a fierce, protective love. He was a friend to many, always willing to help out wherever there was a need. He was one of a kind and will be greatly missed. Payton was a loving husband and father; combat Veteran and hero to all. Payton was the most passionate man we have ever known. “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13 He is survived by his wife, Brittany McCarty; his son, Trevor; his Daughter, Skylar McCarty of Grandview, TX; mother, Sharon Culp and Husband, Bryan of Waxahachie, TX; his brother, Parker McCarty and wife, Erika of Waxahachie, TX; his step sister, Lynsey Culp of Canyon, TX; his mother in Law, Kim Mabey and husband, David of Midlothian, TX; his father in Law, Chris Forner and wife, Lynn of Waxahachie, TX; his brother in law, Josh Forner and wife, Amanda of Waxahachie, TX; his sister in law, Chelsea Von Hatten and husband, Tim of Midlothian, TX; his grandparents, Sue Tindol of Coahoma, TX, Susan Tegeler and husband, Richard of Fenton, IL, Geraldine Forner of Mansfield, TX, Stanley and Wanda Beall of Anna, TX; numerous Uncles, Aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and fellow Marines. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Grady B. Tindol, Jack J. Horn and Billy R. Forner. Services to celebrate his life is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2016 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Sheffield officiating. Interment with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 7, 2016 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
