Irma Freeze

Irma J. Freeze, 83, of Liberal, MO passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. Irma was born January 5th, 1934 in rural Barton County near Liberal Mo to Elbert and Thelma (Hersh) Dickey. She was one of 12 children in the family. She married Fred Freeze in Bentonville AR, April 13, 1953. They made their home in Liberal where Fred worked for the city of Liberal. Together they had 6 children. Fred passed away March 6, 1975. Irma worked for almost 30 years for the hospital in Fort Scott, KS, working her way up from housekeeping to surgical support aid before retirement. She is survived by her children; 3 sons, Randy Freeze and wife Teresa of Liberal, George Freeze and wife Janice of Ft Scott, KS, John Freeze and wife LeeAnn of Lehi, UT; and 3 daughters, Linda McKay and husband Tom of Liberal, LuAnne Crocker and husband Paul of Liberal and Carol Brizendine and husband Mark, of Norborne, MO. Also surviving are 3 brothers, Bob, Ronald and Billy Dickey and a sister Pat Venable; 16 grandchildren; Aaron Freeze, Mike Brizendine, Ron Brizendine, Michelle Moentmann, Dana Slinker, Ryan Mckay, Andi Poulson, Kati Patrone, Timothy Parent, Lacy Hagebusch, Toby Wiles, Josh Crocker, Jessica Freeze, Dylan Freeze, Dalton Freeze and Delanie Freeze, also surviving are 11 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, 1 grand daughter, Amy Wiles, daughter-in-law Lucille Freeze, brothers; Eldon, Dean, Tommy and Keith and sisters: Wanda, Peggy and Judy.
