Paula Chapman Rankin Obituary

Lexington- Paula Chapman Rankin, 55, wife of David Rankin, Jr., passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at the Hospice Care Center. She was born in Irvine, Kentucky to the late Orville and Myrtle Chapman on October 24, 1964. Paula was a homeschool mom, homeschool co-operative teacher, and a member of Tates Creek Christian Church. She also worked as a meat clerk at Kroger. In addition to her husband of 24 years, she is survived by her daughter, Wesley Rankin, Lexington; her son, Bo Rankin, Louisville; her sister, Joan (Ronnie) Brandenburg, Lexington; her brother-in-law, Gary Brewer; her sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Dunahoo and Dorothy Chapman; her nieces and nephews; Anthony Chapman, Billie Sue (Gary) Welch, John Taylor Brandenburg, Travis Chapman, Jessica Chapman, and Ronica Shannon; and her great-niece Erica Shannon. In addition to her parents, Paula is preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Brewer and her brothers, Willis and Howard Chapman. Funeral Service will be 11am Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing. Visitation will be from 9:30am until the time of service. Burial will follow in Lexington Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be John Taylor Brandenburg, Noah Buettner, Daniel Hassell, Ahern Flynn, Casey Welch, and Gary Welch. Honorary pallbearers will be Travis Chapman, Anthony Chapman, and Luke Hisle. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to WeCare Store ministry of Tates Creek Christian Church https://www.tatescreek.org/donate or God’s Pantry www.godspantry.org.
