Dorsey Clayton

Clayton, Dorsey A., 75, of New Martinsville, WV died Friday, February 10, 2012 at Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling, WV after a lengthy illness. Dorsey was born August 12, 1936 in Morgantown, WV son of the late Fred Russell and Mary Margaret Kirk Clayton. He was retired employee of Ormet Corp in Hannibal while there he served as union president for four years, 1953 graduate of Kasson High School, graduate of Bridgewater College, Bridgewater, VA, former employee of Baltimore & Ohio Railroad and Acme Construction Co., enjoyed and playing basketball and was a member of the Shiloh Church of the Brethren in Kasson, WV. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Lee Clayton (1998). Surviving are his wife of fifty-six years, Rosalea Shaffer Clayton and son David Allen Clayton both of New Martinsville, WV; brother, Daniel Lee Clayton and his wife, Becky of Valley Furnace, WV and several nieces and nephews. Friends received 2-6 Sunday, February 12, 2012 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Homes, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville. Dorsey will then be taken to the Stemple & Forman Funeral Home in Philippi, WV where friends will be received 4 to8 p.m., Monday, February 13, 2012, he will lie instate from noon until time of service 1 p.m., Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at the Shiloh Church. Interment to follow in the Shiloh Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to donor's choice.
