Graveside services for John Belton Jackson, 86 of Mexia will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 2, 2006 in Avery Cemetery. Mr. Jackson passed away on July 30 in VA Hospital in Temple. He was born on December 23, 1919 to Lester and Hazel (Moore) Jackson in Avery (Red River County) He served in the army during World War II, was an electrician and a member of the Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Christeen Winn Jackson in 2000. He is survived by two sons: Joe B. Cox and wife, Mary, of Mexia and Timothy Cox and wife, Gail, of Lewisville, 7 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
