Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Faye Gorden, 88 of Coolidge will be 2 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2005 in First United Methodist Church of Coolidge. Rev. Bob Rainey, Pastor of Bethel United Methodist Church in Waxahachie and Rev. Nanette Wyatt, Pastor of Coolidge United Methodist Church will officiate with interment following In Coolidge Cemetery. Mrs. Gorden was born October 20, 1917 in Cotton Gin and passed away in a local Nursing home on November 18, 2005. Mrs. Gorden retired from Coolidge Independent School district after 37 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church In Coolidge. Her church was a very important part of her life and she was a faithful Member for many years.. Survivors are her daughter and son in law: Julia and Ric Bennett of Coolidge; Grandchildren: Rae Ann Bennett of Houston and Rick Bennett and Wife, Trudy of College Station; Great grandson: Hayden Bennett; Sisters: Bobbie McReynolds of Coolidge; Billie Norris and husband, Walt of Richardson, and Margaret Mann and husband, Bill of LaGrange and a host of nieces and nephews and friends. Visitation with the family will be 6 - 8 p.m. Saturday night at Blair - Stubbs Funeral Home in Mexia.
