Aloysius "Al" Anthony Hafner Westphalia Age 88, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2016. Al was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Westphalia, the Knights of Columbus, the V.F.W. Post #3733 Fowler, Pewamo, Westphalia and was veteran of the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen in 1997, 3 infant sons and several brothers. Surviving are his children Judy (Larry) Theis, Jane (Ron) Hensley, Tim (Diane) Hafner and Linda (William) Taylor; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Eric Weber at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Westphalia. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Military graveside honors will be provided by the V.F.W. Post #3733. The family will receive friends 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at the St. Mary's Funeral Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to the Lehman Funeral Homes. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hospice House of Mid-Michigan in memory of Al. Online condolences may be made at www.lehmanfuneralhomes.com.
