BEDFORD -- Jerry Lamar Poda, 60, passed away Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014. Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Hurst, 1801 Norwood Dr. in Hurst. Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church. Interment: Fairview Cemetery in Joplin, TX. Jerry was born January 22, 1954 in Quitman, LA. He was the owner of J&R Fence Company. Survivors: Wife, Judy Poda; mother, Wanda Loe; sons, Chad Poda, Heath Poda and wife Jennifer and Tyler Poda; step-son Nick Byars and wife Brittany; daughters, Cristin Collings and husband Matthew, Bonnie Knutz and husband Jonathan; sisters, Sherri Moran and Cindy Hilton; 10 grandchildren and many friends.
