James Tegg

James William Tegg, 85, of East Peoria passed away Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Fondulac Rehab in East Peoria. He was born September 23, 1930 in Peoria to George and Lucille Rogers Tegg. He married Cecelia “Ann” Krause May 15, 1971; she preceded him in death April 6, 2008. He was also preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Maxine Doran and Merle Flemming. He is survived by his sons, Philip Tegg, Kyle (Jasmine) Keller, Craig (Connie) Tegg; daughters, Dawn Kommer, Angela (James) Gomes, Nichole (Jason) Beaver; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and brother, Jean (Pam) Tegg. James worked for Komatsu for 44 years. He was a member of Abundant Life Church. He was the founder of Midwest Gun Collectors Association. Cremation has been accorded and a memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2015 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Abts Mortuary in Pekin. Burial will be held in the Chillicothe City Cemetery at a later date.
