John Shine Anderson, of 286 Douro Street, Stratford passed away at Stratford General Hospital on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 in his 78th year. Born in West Monkton, he was the son of the late Alfred and Loretta (Shine) Anderson. John was employed with the Canadian Pacific Railroad for 36 years, retiring in 1992. Beloved husband of Yvonne Marilyn (Holman) Anderson. Dear father of Ken Holman and wife Lucy of Sarnia and Cindy Lawrence and husband Dace of Stratford. Loving grandfather of Kurt, Keith and Krystle Holman, Greg Stock and Kris Lawrence. Beloved great-grandfather of Acelin Wakem. Dear brother of Isobel Taylor of Toronto and Nora Humphries of London. Dear brother-in-law John Horn of Wiarton. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and their families. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Jim Anderson and sister Beryl Pickard, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Lawrence Pickard, Ross Taylor, John Gibson, Bill Holman, Wray Holman, Marie Ohm, Eleanor Horn Reeta Gibson, May Holman and Bob Humphries. In accordance with John’s wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no funeral home visitation or service. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice through the James A.
