Service for Don Baber, 59, of Godley will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will be at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011 in Oakwood Cemetery in Cisco. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Friday. Mr. Baber passed away Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011 in Ft. Worth. He was born May 25, 1952 in Eastland to Billy Joe and Doris Speegle Baber. He married Patty Sue Wells Garrett on Sept. 14, 2002 at their home in Godley. Don was a rural United States Postal Service carrier. He was a very outgoing, generous person who was loved by everyone he met. "Tall Don" or "Ladder" was a professional shuffleboard player. He was the ultimate cowboy, saddlemaker and trail horseback rider. His tall and tough personality and giving nature will be greatly missed. Survivors include his wife, Pat Garrett Baber of Godley; son, Chris Garrett and wife Jenni; grandson, Captain; stepbrother, Brian Massey, stepfather, W.B. "Tooley" Massey; a host of other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Joe Baber and Doris Speegle Baber Massey. Visitation Friday, November 18, 2011 6-8 P.M.
