Survivors: Spouse: Deann Jackson of Porcupine, SD Mother: Beverly Tuttle of Porcupine, SD Father: John Jackson of Porcupine, SD Daughters: Tashaun Jackson of Porcupine, SD and Kyra Jackson of Allen, SD Grandchildren: Nyna Jackson of Porcupine, SD Elijah was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, David and Lillian (Iron Cloud) Tuttle and paternal grandparents, Vera Reynolds -Mousseau and Marion Jackson. Elijah James Jackson “Hehaka Wiole” was an only child born to Beverly Tuttle and John Jackson on July 26, 1980 in Rushville, NE. Ruth Weston was his Hunka mother. Eli’s elementary years were spent at Our Lady of Lourdes with his Grandma Lillian whom he cherished and loved dearly. After grade school Elijah attended Little Wound High school. He has two beautiful daughters: Tashaun and Kyra Jackson. He married his loving wife DeAnn in 2008 and she stayed by his side until the last of his days. Elijah’s precious Granddaughter Nyna came to the family in 2013; she made him a very happy Grandpa. The Traditional Lakota lifestyle kept Elijah going and he was proud to be a Sun dancer for Medicine Horse. He loved his Lakota spiritual teachings from Leksi Rick and Tuwin Ethleen Two Dogs; they made a very positive impact on his life. Elijah was a very kind and gentle well-mannered man with a great sense of humor. He was surrounded by loved ones when he made his journey to the spirit world on June 16, 2015 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital. He has touched many lives and will be missed forever.
