Darleen McLaughlin

Darleen F. McLaughlin, 44, of Greensburg, died suddenly on Thursday, April 10, 2014. She was born May 21, 1969 in Greensburg, a daughter of the late James M. Jr. and Florence Loughner Stevenson. She was a member of the American Legion Post 981, the Amvets Post 88, the 49ers Club, and the VFW Post 33. Darleen was an avid Steelers and Penguins fan. She enjoyed playing pool and attending her daughter’s softball games since the 1st grade. She loved attending musicals and enjoyed the companionship of her pets. She is survived by her husband, Paul C. McLaughlin; a daughter Lauren McLaughlin; two brothers: James M. (Dana) Stevenson, III of Greensburg and Daniel (Roxanne) Stevenson of Ruffsdale; three sisters: Colleen Watson of N. Huntingdon, Cathleen (Ray Yurko) Finney of Greensburg, and Charleen (Jerry) Willett of Saltsburg; and a number of nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greenburg. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Animal Friends of Westmoreland, 216 Depot St., Youngwood, PA 15697.
