Madge Sisley

Madge R. Kowinsky Sisley, 87, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully, with her adoring family by her side, Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at Villa Angela, St. Anne Home in Greensburg. She was the loving wife for 55 years of her late husband, Joseph O. Sisley. She was born May 12, 1926, in Marguerite. She was a daughter of the late John F. Kowinsky and Stella Mackowiak Kowinsky; and sister of the late Mary Kowinsky Gondosh, Clara Kowinsky Rucolus, John Kowinsky, Francis Kowinsky and Elizabeth Kowinsky. She is survived by a sister, Josephine Kowinsky Stumpo, of Greensburg; and brother, Bill Kowinsky, from Marguerite. Prior to her retirement, she was on the nursing staff at both St. Anne Home and Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, where she was beloved by patients, families and co-workers. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral in Greensburg. She was the loving mother and grandmother of Joseph D. Sisley and his wife, Susan, of Greensburg, Timothy J. Sisley, of Greensburg, Rebecca Sisley McIntyre and husband, Robert, from Charlottesville, Va., Cynthia L. Sisley Taylor and husband, Andrew, of McMurray, and Robert A. Sisley and his partner, Lisa Longo, of Greensburg; and five grandchildren, Elizabeth and Patrick McIntyre, Kara and Olivia Sisley, and Grant Taylor.
