Ken Whipple

Service for Ken Whipple, 72, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Cynthia Lee will officiate. Committal will be in the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Thursday, at the funeral home. Mr. Whipple passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 in Cleburne. He was born Dec. 4, 1940 in Lansing, Mich. to Earle E. and Ruby Leane Lindauer Whipple. He married Gwendolyn Lea Choate on December 27, 1995 in Florida. Mr. Whipple was an auto mechanic. He served in the United States Navy and as a leader in the Boy Scouts of America. He was of the Methodist faith. Survivors include his wife, Gwen Whipple of Cleburne; step sons, Ken Adcock and wife, Rhonda, Tim Wilkerson and wife Cheryl, and Stephen Wilkerson and wife, Heather; step daughter, Penny Choate; sister, Ruby L. Johnson and two brothers, Keith W. Whipple and Gerald D. Whipple. He was preceded in death by his parents.
