John, Jr. passed away on September 13, 2014 at the Castle Manor Nursing Home in Hot Springs, SD. John is survived by his sons, Alonzo Brings Yellow, Sr. of Ronan, MT and John Charles Brings Yellow III of Taholah, WA; daughter, Valerie Brings Yellow of Oglala, SD; brother, Hugh Brings of Golden, CO; 13 Grandchildren; 11 Great Grandchildren; and 22 Great-Great Grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his parents, John, Sr. and Jenny (Afraid of His Horses-Youngman); spouse, Verna Mae Brings Yellow; son, Theodore Brings Yellow; 3 infant daughters; Brother, Theodore Ambrose Brings Yellow.
