William Pollock

William R. Pollock Sr., 90, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, March 4, 2014. He was born Feb. 19, 1924, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Gilmore and Gertrude (Kerwitch) Pollock. Mr. Pollock was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy. He was a member of Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church, Greensburg. He was retired from the former Modulus of Mt. Pleasant and was a member of the American Legion. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers, Jack, Richard, James and Roy Pollock. He is survived by his wife, Valerie Humphrey Pollock; two sons, William R. Pollock Jr. and girlfriend, Tammy Garland, of Pleasant Unity, and Douglas E. Pollock and wife, Maureen, of Katy, Texas; a daughter, Lynne Stebbins and husband, Charles, of Bedford, Va.; five grandchildren, Laura, Sara, Elizabeth, Trevor and Rachel; four great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Eric, Connor and Addison; and a sister, Betty Machen, of Monroeville.
