Troy Helmrich

Troy D. Helmrich, 49 of Decatur, died at his residence on Wednesday, June 15, 2016. Troy was born on May 13, 1967 in Decatur to the late David L. and Gayle (Howard) Helmrich. Troy attended Salem U.C.C. He worked for B.F. Goodrich and was a member of the United Steelworkers Union; prior to that he worked for Fleetwood Motors for 26 years. Troy is survived by a son, Timothy (fiancé Ciera) Helmrich of Decatur; granddaughter, Ellah A. Williams of Decatur; two sisters, Laura L. Helmrich of Monroe and Stefani L. Helmrich of Decatur and five nieces. He was preceded in death by a brother, Glen A. Helmrich. A Memorial Visitation will be from 2:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home, followed by a Celebration of Life gathering at Vinnie’s from 7:00 p.m. - ???. In Troy’s memory, please dress casual! A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 23rd at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Preferred memorial are to the Granddaughters Education Fund.
