Ruby E. Ralston
<p>Ruby E. Ralston, 87, of Decatur, IN, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2016 in the Bluffton Regional Medical Center. She was born on September 7, 1928 in Montgomery County, Indiana to the late Earl and Cora (Coon) Herron. </p><p><br></p><p>She was a Registered Nurse in Indiana, Oregon, and California and worked at various medical facilities throughout her career. Her final position was at Ben Hur Nursing Home in Crawfordsville, IN, where she retired from in 2000. </p><p><br></p><p>Ruby was an avid NASCAR fan and loved the Indianapolis 500.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her son, Bob (Lisa) Ralston of Decatur; 3 brothers, William Herron, Jack Herron, and Charles (Jo) Herron; 2 sisters, Helen Rutledge and Mary (Norman) Abston; 5 grandchildren, Mandy (John) Kriegel, Jamey (Kyle) Clark, Nathan (fiancé Jacqueline Smith) Ralston, Trae (fiancé Rebecca Fox) Ralston, and Bailee Ralston; 4 great grandchildren, Alivia Reinhart, Adriana Kriegel, Lydia and Lyla Clark; several nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>She was also preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Jane Whipple. </p><p><br></p><p>Per Ruby’s request, a private service will be held with her family.
