Todd W Gerke

Todd W. (George) Gerke, 54, of Decatur, a well-known friend to many died peacefully Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 9:49 a.m.at Lutheran Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Todd was born on May 20, 1961 in Fort Wayne to Donald W. and Rita M. (Hockemeyer) Gerke.

Todd was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, was an avid sports fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Chicago Bears and Notre Dame Football and #1 Bellmont Wrestling Fan. Todd also enjoyed fast pitch softball and playing golf.

Survivors include his parents Donald and Rita Gerke of Decatur; two brothers, Tim (Janeen) Gerke and Troy Gerke; a sister Tina (Jim) Barker all of Decatur; nieces and nephews, Blake (Brittany), Josh (Heather), Brooks, Brian (Kelly), Bailey, Trey and Kelsey; great nieces and nephews, Ashton, Josie, Lincoln, Emmery Rose and Sawyer.

Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, December 18, 2015 at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home and from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19th at St. Peter Lutheran Church with the custom of a closed casket at church.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 19, 2015 at St. Peter Lutheran Church with Rev. Martin Moehring officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter Lutheran Church Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to be given to St. Peter Lutheran Church Worship for Shut Ins or Decatur Wrestling Club.
