Lela E. Milligan, 96, of Clearfield died Friday, June 18, 2010 at Clearfield Hospital.

Born March 27, 1914, at Shiloh, she was a daughter of Ferd and Minnie (Powell) Maines.

Mrs. Milligan was employed at Amphenol Corporation in Chatsworth, Cali., retiring in June 1977.
After her retirement, she moved to Olean, N.Y., becoming a member of the Olean Church of the Nazarene where she served as Sunday school superintendent for thirteen years until the age of 81 and held various other offices within the church.

She then moved to Clearfield in 1995 where she continued her volunteer work and became a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Clearfield.

She is survived by two children, Forrest C. Milligan and wife, Sandra (Merrifield), of Niagara Falls, N.Y. and Bernice Urbanski of Hendersonville, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Mary Urbanski Lee, Daniel and Steve Urbanski, Lorraine Milligan Evans and Rhonda Milligan; six great-grandchildren, Justin and Brian Lee, Scott, Andrew and Jonathan Evans and Jeanine Evans Bennett; four great great grandchildren, Amber Rain Evans, twins Purnell and Chrina Bennett and Jordan Grace Evans; a son-in-law, James Urbanski of Emporium; a sister, Carrie Quick of Wallaceton; numerous nieces and nephews; and dear friends, Dolly Spencer and Wonda Hoover.

Mrs. Milligan was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Forrest Milligan on June 22, 1987; four brothers, Roland, Kenneth, Blair and Arthur Maines; and a sister Margaret Fleck.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield Tuesday, June 22, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Robert Thomas officiating.

Interment will follow in the Reidy Cemetery, Wallaceton.

Friends will be received at the funeral home Monday, June 21, from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, June 22, from 10-11 a.m.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Church of the Nazarene, 403 Ogden Avenue, Clearfield, PA 16830.
