LISTING: Suffield, Enfield & Somers Lillian J. (Rinaldi) Stevens, 89, of Suffield, widow of Howard C. Stevens, entered into eternal peace Tuesday (2/23/10) at Suffield House, Suffield, CT. Born in the Thompsonville section of Enfield, June 22, 1920, the daughter of the late Calogero and Calogera (Attardi) Rinaldi, Lillian resided for many years in Somers and for the last decade had resided in Suffield. Lillian was employed by Monarch Life Insurance, Stevens Millwork, Fleet Bank (formerly CBT) and Bob’s Stores. She loved playing cards with her constant companions by her side her dogs Molly & Mindy and following her favorite sports teams; the Boston Red Sox and UCONN Women’s Huskies Basketball. Lillian’s family wishes to extend their sincere and heartfelt thanks to Bryan Sherman at the Suffield House and her dear friend Rita Schaperjahn of Enfield. Lillian is survived by her daughter Dianne Stevens of Suffield, with whom she made her home, her sister-in- law Jen Rinaldi, brother-in-law Richard Hickson and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years Howard C. Stevens, a sister Mary Hickson, a brother Louis Rinaldi, a brother-in-law Everett Stevens and sisters-in law Ethel Bracewell and Helen Brennan. Calling hours will be held Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, from 5 – 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday (2/26/10) 11:30 am at St. Martha’s Church burial immediately following in Somers Center Cemetery.
