Mario Tabelina

Mario R. Tabelina age 75, died Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at his residence. He was retired from the U.S. Navy and the Mecklenburg Correctional Facility. He was an active member of the Catholic Church of the Good Shepherd where he was an usher and was a proud member of the American Legion Honor Guard. Mr. Tabelina is survived by his wife, Sharon; one daughter, Dee Anna Forbes and her husband Michael of Dundas; half brother, Pedro C. Tabelina of the Philippines; sister-in-law, Yvonne Cutler of Palmer Springs; two grandchildren, Lauren Michelle and Hailey Rae and several nieces and two nephews. There will be a Celebration of Life Mass on Friday, June 5, 2009 at 11 am in the Catholic Church of the Good Shepherd with military honors to follow. Memorial donations may be made to the Catholic Church of the Good Shepherd Building Fund, 1674 N. Mecklenburg Ave., LaCrosse, VA 23950 or the CMH Foundation, P.O. Box 90, South Hill, VA 23970.
