Naugatuck - Mrs. Adelle (Nardello) Scholan, age 86, formerly of 28 Hazel Ave., died March 1,2010 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was the widow of Joseph G. Scholan. Mrs. Scholan was born in Waterbury on October 8,1923 a daughter of the late James and Jennie (DeCarlo) Nardello. She was a former employee of Peter Paul Cadbury before becoming a legal secretary and was a communicant of St. Vincent Ferrer Church in Naugatuck. Mrs. Scholan was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends. She and her husband also owned a home in South Yarmouth Cape Cod, MA for 30 years and lived between the two homes. She was a former member of the Cristoforo Columbo Society of Naugatuck, the Daughters of Isabella and the St. Vincent Ferrer Church Choir. Mrs. Scholan is survived by a daughter: Tricia Scholan Rowley of Honolulu, Hawaii, a son: Jack Scholan and his wife Margaret Farley Scholan of Daytona Beach, Florida, two sisters: Antoinette Talevi and Jane Curina, a brother: James Nardello, four grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was predeceased by two sisters: Evelyn Wolcin and Helena (Sis) Masone. The funeral will be held on Saturday March 13,2010 at 9:30 a.m. from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home 26 Waterbury Rd, Rte 69, Prospect to St. Vincent Ferrer Church 1006 New Haven Rd. Naugatuck for a mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery in Naugatuck. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday March 12,2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent Ferrer Church 1006 New Haven Rd.
