Rudolph Qualls

Rudolph “Rudy” Qualls, 91, of Paducah, passed away at 1:20 P.M. Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Rudolph “Rudy” Qualls was born in Marshall County, Kentucky on October 14, 1926 to Cleveland and Maude Qualls. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII and was employed by the Shawnee Steam Plant as a Boilermaker-Welder, as well as a small farm. He was an industrious woodworker whose talent produced furniture, as well as knives and belt buckles. His carpentry skills enabled him to build houses for his family. Mr. Qualls is survived by his wife of 71 years, Mary Kathryn Pate Qualls; his daughters, Diane Johnson (Ron), of Paducah, Michelle Joyce (Joe), of La Veta, Colorado; his granddaughter, Amanda Jo Tolbert; his great-grandchildren, Triston Kemper, Cauy Kemper, Theisen Tolbert, Amanda Jo Tolbert. Mr. Qualls was preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland Qualls and Maude Peck Qualls; his sisters, Pauline Goodwin and Estelle Lewis; his brothers, Hayden Qualls, Haywood Qualls, Raymond Qualls, Herman Qualls, and Otha Kay Qualls. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home, with Pastor Bobby Waldridge officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. Thursday at the Lone Oak Chapel.
