Mary Waide

WAIDE, Mary – Passed peacefully and comfortably in her 97th year after a brief illness, on the Palliative Unit of Health Sciences North. Mary was born in Sudbury, daughter of the late Michael J. Shea and Mary Ellen (Crowley) Shea. She married the late Richard J. Waide. She is survived by her sister Mrs. Margaret Cerre (Charles predeceased) of Toronto, brothers predeceased the Honourable William John Shea, Q.C. and Jack Shea. Mother of Brian Waide (Patricia predeceased), Mary Ellen Baxter (John Baxter) and Christine Mulroy (Bruce Mulroy). Cherished grandmother to Andrea Baxter, Erin Baxter (Brent Boisvenue), Melissa Baxter, John Ahonen, Jennifer Ahonen (Mike Simmons), Karri Mulroy-Beaulne (Todd) and Andrew Mulroy (Alexis) and great grandmother of Emily, Breanna, Jay, Rose, Violet, Rebecca, Katie, Violet, Scarlett, Alexander, Sarah and Liam. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Thank you to all the Nurses on 5 South and the Palliative Care Unit at Health Sciences North and to all the PSWs who cared for Mary at the Walford Retirement Home. Thank you to Gloria and the nurses at the Walford. Funeral Visitation at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch St., Sudbury (Friends may call 2-5pm Sunday). Funeral Mass in St. Patrick’s Church 39 Walford Road, Sudbury Monday, December 30th, 2013 at 10am. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
