Suddenly, Wednesday, July 16th, 2014 at his home.
Beloved husband of Jane (Coombs) Levangie of Naughton. He is predeceased by his first wife, Cecile (Gallais), loving parents to Colette McGlynn (Murray), Celeste Levangie-Hofford (Scott), Danielle Levangie (Gino Tersigni) and Nicolas Levangie (Claire). Cherished grandfather of Patric, Celia, Madelaine, Marc, Jack, Joel and Ryan. Dear son of Marc and Laura Levangie both predeceased. Dear brother of Colin Levangie (Berni Cameron) and Jeanine Forseille (Robert predeceased).
Born in Dollard, Saskatchewan, Gilbert was a successful Civil Engineer. He worked for many years with Heathwood Engineering which became Hatch and continued to consult in his retirement. Gilbert was a naturally gifted teacher, he taught at Northern College and was particularly proud of his Green House Project. He loved to spend time with his family, especially on their regular canoeing trips into the wilderness. Gilbert will be lovingly remembered for his wisdom, his positive attitude, his fearlessness in living life and his kind giving nature.
A Celebration of Gilbert’s Life
will be held in the

Sunday, July 20th, 2014 at 11 a.m.
(Friends may gather after 10:30 a.m. Sunday)
