William Wise, Jr.

William E. Wise, Jr., 51, of Rockford, IL, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 as a result of a motorcycle accident. Bill was born on June 18, 1965, in Minnesota, son of William Sr. and Marina (Allen) Wise. He was a graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School, Lakeshore Technical College, and received a Bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Bill served in the US Army from 1983-1989. He was employed as a manufacturing engineer with Bergstrom Manufacturing in Rockford. Bill was member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Rockford where he was active in the church choir and Men’s Club. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, loved his Harley, and was an avid Viking fan. Bill enjoyed playing golf, the outdoors, music, including Johnny Cash, and old western movies, especially John Wayne movies. Bill is survived by his four children, Christopher Wise of Sheboygan, Alicia (Marcos) Valencia of Phoenix, AZ, Karly (fiance David Richardson III) Wise of Sheboygan Falls, and Nathaniel Wise of Rockford; his grandchildren, Dominic, Ashton, Bianca, and baby Raelynn, on the way; his parents, William Wise of Winona, MN and Marina Wise of Sheboygan; his sisters and brothers, Debra (Jim) Regan of Elkhart Lake, Wendy (John) Drossel of Oostburg, Scott (Jill Craney) Wise of Manitowoc, Linda (Kevin) Buchholtz of Fremont, Kevin (Jinsook) Wise of Dublin, CA, Lisa (Duane) Ditter of Sheboygan, and Paula Jakubowski of Sheboygan; and the mother of Nate and Karly, Bobbi Jo of Sheboygan Falls. Bill is further survived by aunt, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his grandparents. A memorial service to celebrate Bill’s life will be held at 5:00 pm on Thursday, May 4, 2017, at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Susan Safford-Gaul officiating. Relatives and friends may gather on Thursday at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until the time of the service at 5:00 pm. A memorial fund has been established in Bill’s name.
