Parker Stetson

Parker Francis Stetson, age 95, of Ashlar Village, Wallingford, CT, died Thursday December 27, 2007. Born on June 27, 1912 in Orford, NH, he was the son of Dr. Harry Warren and Alice Greaves Stetson. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of forty years, Barbara Deniston Stetson. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Parker served his country in the South Pacific during World War II as first Sergeant in the Ordinance Division of the United States Army. Parker worked for four years at Lungstrom Air Heater Corporation of Wellsville, N.Y, followed by a twenty seven year career with Crucible Specialty Division of Syracuse, N.Y. He became a member of the Free and Accepted Order of Masons in 1962 and was raised to Master Mason. Parker is survived by Barbara's children Patricia Ann Cunningham and Michael Leroy Deniston, nephew Robert Stetson and nieces Linda Amar and Susan Reynolds. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Ashlar Village with the Rev. Donald Allen officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, North Thetford, VT. The Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford is in charge of arrangements.
