Rutherfordton, NC Mr. Clarence Earl Tomblin age 85 of Primrose Lane went home to be with the Lord on Monday March 18, 2013 while being cared for at Hospice House in Forest City. A native of Rutherford County he was a son of Arthur and Blanche Tomblin, a former employee of Duke Energy and was a member of First Baptist Church of Spindale. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Linda Walker Tomblin, their children – David Tomblin and wife Jane, Arthur Tomblin and wife Debbie, Andy Tomblin and wife Stephanie, Mary Rochester and husband Don, Katie Haskins and husband Justin, Robin Hutchins and husband Joe, sisters – Naomi McCraw, Mildred Morrow, Frances Mann, grandchildren – Scott Tomblin, Sherry Trudnak, Neal Tomblin, Robert Tomblin, Logan Haskins, Laura Haskins, Brooke Tomblin, Madison Tomblin, Lydia Fowler, Matthew Fowler, Marcus McCabe, Luke Hutchins, Sam Hutchins, Jenny Hutchins; great grandchildren – Madison Trudnak, Isabel Trudnak, Ava Trudnak, Haylie Tomblin, Tanner Hutchins, Alexis Fowler, Noah Garrett and Nickolas Fowler. Funeral services will be held 3 PM Wednesday March 20, 2013 at Spindale First Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Evans and Rev. Tom Frady officiating. Concluding services will be held at Oak Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Tuesday March 19, 2013 at Crowe’s Mortuary.
