Maureen (Farland) Sloane, 72 of Enfield entered into eternal peace on Saturday September 2, 2006 at home. Maureen was born in Springfield MA on July 4, 1934 the daughter of the late James and Mayvis (Finley) Farland and resided in Enfield most of her life. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Richard F. Sloane August 16, 2000. Maureen was employed for over thirty years by the former Connecticut Bank and Trust and as branch manager of the former Fleet Bank Enfield. Maureen retired fourteen years ago. She was a former member of the Enfield Women's Club and in her retirement enjoyed trips to Foxwoods. She was an avid Bingo Player and enjoyed her Bridge Club. Maureen is survived by her beloved family a son and daughter in-law; Bart & Jodi Giustina of Enfield, a son James Dineen of Massachusetts, also a step-son and his wife; Thomas & Pamela Sloane of East Windsor and a step-daughter; Bonnie L. Sloane of Enfield. Maureen leaves her beloved grandchildren; Michelle, Christopher & Jake Giustina and Valerie Sloane, along with many cousins. Maureen's family will receive relatives and friends at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels on Thursday from 9:00AM to 11:00AM. A Memorial service will be held at 11: 00 AM interment will follow in St. Patrick's King St. Cemetery, Enfield. Memorials may be made to The Enfield Community Ambulance Fund P.O. Box 1249 Enfield CT 06083-1249 or to The American Heart Assoc. 2550 US Highway 1 N. Brunswick, NJ 08902-4301.
