Ruth Tiller

Ruthie B Tiller, age 75 of Indian Grave Gap section of Vansant, VA went to be with the Lord January 16, 2015 at her home. Born August 20, 1939 in Buchanan County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Rev. FM and Hazel Jackson Barton. She was a devoted Christian and a member of the Rowe Pentecostal Church. She was a loving wife; mother; mother-in-law; grandmother; sister and aunt. For many years she enjoyed teaching Sunday School and telling the children about the love of Jesus. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Henry and Freeman Barton; two sisters: Mary Catherine Inman and Loretta McGlothlin and one infant brother; one daughter-in-law: Tammy C. Tiller. Survivors include her husband of fifty-seven years, Lehman L Tiller, of the home; two daughters: Maretta and Dwight Lester, Rowe, VA; Regina and Darrell Street, Vansant, VA; two sons: Stafford Tiller, Rowe, VA; Marcus and Denise Tiller, Bland, VA. three Grandchildren: Joshua Lester and wife, Marlena, Dublin, VA; Daniel Lester, Rowe, VA; Victoria McCary, Rowe, VA. Brothers: Marvin Barton and wife, Alta; JC Barton and wife, Linda; Mitch Barton and wife, Judy; Sisters: Irene Stinson; Martha Sheppard and husband, Needam; Virgelee Johnson and husband, Wes; brothers–in-laws: Earl Inman; Jim Watson; sisters-in-laws: Emma Barton; Connie Barton. Several Nieces and Nephews and a Host of Friends. Funeral Services will be Sunday, January 18, 2015 at 11:00 am at Honaker Funeral Home with Rev. Brad Cook and Rev. Tommy Dye officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhills Memorial Gardens at Claypool Hill, VA. Active pallbearers will be Stafford Tiller; Marcus Tiller; Dwight Lester; Darrell Street; Joshua Lester; Daniel Lester.
