Grady Waldrop

York -- Grady Waldrop, 56, of 13175 West Highway 55, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Hospice & Community Care in Rock Hill. Born in Rock Hill, Mr. Waldrop was the son of the late Augustine Thomas and Mary Elizabeth Hudson Waldrop. He worked in maintenance for the Clover School System and was a life-long member of Midway Baptist Church of York. Surviving Mr. Waldrop are two sisters, Coreen Carnes of York and Martha Goforth of Gastonia. In addition to his parents, Mr. Waldrop was preceded in death by two brothers, Willy and Manuel Waldrop, and a sister, Faye Meek. The family will receive friends Friday, December 10, 2010, at Midway Baptist Church from 6pm until 7:30pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday at Midway Baptist Church at 2pm with Rev. Larry Cain officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Oakdale Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will be at the residence. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Greenville Office, 16-A Brozzini Court, Greenville, SC 29615. The Book of Memories is available at www.gordonmortuary.com.
