In Loving Memory of Mrs. Doreen Ewen (nee Purdy) 1928– 2014 The family announces with sadness her passing at the Timmins & District Hospital on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at the age of 86 years. Loving wife of the Late William (Gren)(1998), and Cherished Mother of; Jill (Mark) Draves of South Porcupine and Susan (Bill) Watters of Matheson. She was the beloved Grandmother of; Joshua Mackenzie of Matheson, Jamie (Darren) Shannon of Val Caron, Kimberley Draves of South Porcupine, Travis (Lindsay) Draves of South Porcupine, Sherry (Ryan) Wilson of Kirkland Lake, Kelly-Anne (Paul) Beauchamp of South Porcupine and Cameron (Kayla) Watters of Ramore. She will be fondly remembered by her Great Grandchildren; Halle, Keeli, Gage, Lily, Trent, Madison, Alexis, Sam, Sascha, and Deakon. Doreen is also survived by her siblings; Roger (Cathy) Purdy of Niagara Falls, Barbara (Pat) Mahon of Sault Ste Marie, and Gerry (Lynn) Purdy of Georgetown, her sisters-in-law Shirley Watt of Halifax and Mildred Ewen of Elliott Lake as well as her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her Parents Charles and Lillian Purdy, and her Husband Gren. Family and Friends may call at St. Andrew’s United Church (Matheson) on Wednesday, December 17th, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 18th, 2014, 10:30 a.m. at St. Andrew’s United Church (Matheson) with the Reverend Dale Young officiating. In Memoriam donations may be made to St. Andrews United Church, or to a charity of your choice and would be appreciated by the family.
