Cecelia Cynoski

Cecelia (Cummings) Cynoski, of Suffield, entered into eternal life, at the age of 101, on Tuesday December 10, 2013 at the Suffield House. She was born in Enfield, CT on Dec. 29, 1911. She was the youngest of eight children to the late Philip and Katherine (Driscoll) Cummings. Cecelia was a graduate of Enfield High School Class of 1929 and was on the committee for their class reunions. She was employed by Travelers Insurance Co. until 1934, when she left to be married to the love of her life, Anthony “Tony” Cynoski who preceded her in death in May, 1970 after thirty five and a half years of marriage and now has gone to be reunited with him. In 1941 Cecelia went back to work at the Travelers until she retired in March 1971. She enjoyed bowling and bowled in a league with the Enfield AARP, she also had a passion for baseball and was a Atlanta Braves fan. Cecelia is survived by her nieces and nephews; Robert Cummiings (Helen) of Enfield, Frances Messinger (Kenneth) of Enfield, William Cummings of East Hartford, Charles Cummings (Kathy) of Westfield, MA, Sandy McKeown Zunski, of Barrington, IL, Thomas Evans (Joan) of Orange, and Carole McNamara of Ellington, along with many great nieces, nephews and cousins in Ireland. She was predeceased by her seven siblings. Calling hours will be held on Monday Dec. 16, 2013 from 9 to 10:15 a.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, followed by a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Church, Suffield. Interment will take place in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery in Enfield. Memorial donations in Cecelia’s memory may be made to the Suffield Ambulance Fund 205 Bridge St. Suffield, CT 06078 or to Sacred Heart Church 446 Mountain Rd. Suffield, CT 06078.
