Angeline Smeraglia

Wolcott-Angeline (Lombardi) Smeraglia, 89, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2012. She was the widow of Accursio (Gus) Smeraglia. Mrs. Smeraglia was born on May 22, 1923 in Waterbury a daughter of the late Eustachio and Nancy (Coia) Lombardi. She was retired from Butterfield in Naugatuck where she worked for many years. She was a great mom and grandmother and a good friend to all who knew her. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Neri of Cheshire and Joyce Trombley and her husband Michael of Wolcott one brother, Louis Lombardi of Bethlehem, PA, four grandchildren, Jennifer Maringola, Krista Ryan, Edward Hawthorne and Andrea Neri, two great grandchildren Nicholas and Lauren. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, James, Joseph, Anthony and John Lombardi. The funeral will be held on Monday, October 29, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Leo the Great Church, 14 Bentwood Drive, Waterbury, everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Rd, Rte 69, Prospect on Sunday afternoon from 2-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: American Cancer Society/New England Division, P.O. Box 1004, Meriden, CT 06450.
