Alan Perkins, age 62, died September 18, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen Muldowney Perkins. Alan was born in Milford on November 12, 1951 to the late Frank S. and Genevieve Ellison Perkins. Before retiring, Alan was a steel worker for many years. Alan was an avid Jets fan, enjoyed restoring cars and was a motorcycle enthusiast. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Angela Richards, of Milford, Sarah Perkins of Fairfield and Kathleen Kuba of Milford, brothers Frank Perkins of Milford, Perry Perkins of FL., sisters Diane Bekech of FL., Sally Perkins of SC., and Beverly Perkins of Milford, grandchildren Isabella Russ, Abigail Russ, Scarlet Kuba, Erin Riley Richards and Jacob Alan Burns. Several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Cleveland and Wayne Perkins. Friends may call Tuesday September 23, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St., Milford. All other services and burial will be private. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 2075 Silas Deane Highway, Suite 100, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
