Richard Angel Obituary

Richard Angel age 76 of Smithers died November 22, 2008 in CAMC Memorial in Charleston. He was born February 23, 1932 at Glade Creek, Tennessee and was the son of the late Joe and Callie Milligan Angel. He was also preceded in death by his wife Delores Edelman Angel; grandson Ryan Tucker; brothers William, Robert, Clyde, Comer, JC and Horace Angel. He was employed with the Fayette County Board of Education at Valley High School in Smithers. Richard was also a former coal miner at Central Appalachian Coal Company in Montgomery and Cannelton Coal Company and he was a member of the United Mine Workers of America. Surviving: daughter, Tammy Tucker of Witcher Creek; grandson Todd Tucker of Falls View and granddaughter Allison Tucker of Crown Hill; sisters Dorothy Hamlin of Columbus, Ohio and Ruth Feicke of Boomer and brother Sam Angel of Mt. Carbon; several nieces, nephews and a host of family friends. Service will be 11:00 Tuesday at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Rev. Joseph Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Park at London. Friends may call from 6 until 8 on Monday at the funeral home.
