Bette Trogler

Bette Jane Trogler, age 86, of Chambersburg, PA and formerly of Greensburg, PA, entered eternal life on Thursday, July 21, 2016, at the Shippensburg Health Care Center, Shippensburg, PA. Born March 8, 1930, in Greensburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Revon Roy McDermott and Minerva Berringer Smith. Mrs. Trogler was a member of the Marion First United Methodist Church. She was active in PMI, House of Grace, and the Prayer Ministry of Marion Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, reading scripture, sewing, painting, and cooking. She is survived by her husband, William A. Trogler of Elmcroft Assisted Living; her children, Kaye (Trogler) Pittman (husband Ronald) of Easton, PA, Jackie (Trogler) Bard (husband Gary) of Fayetteville, PA, Terry Clark (wife Beverly) of Hernando, FL, and Randy Cooper (wife Kim) of London , Kentucky; her grandchildren, Joey Thomas Garland of Greencastle, PA, Angie Hunter of Simpsonville, SC, Michael Clark of Simpsonville, SC, Michael Ritchey of WPB FL, Chris Pittman of Easton, PA, and Wendy Costanzo of Bethlehem, PA; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; and many loving nieces and nephews and dear friend Kim Kelly of Greensboro, North Carolina. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 25, 2016, at 2:30 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Rev. Chris Renner will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Foundations.
