Helen Ehrhart, 79, of East Fallowfield died Friday, August 31, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late David G. Ehrhart, who preceded her in death in 2017. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Helen Southern Shoemaker. Helen worked for many years at Pepperidge Farms Bakery and later as a cafeteria worker for the Coatesville School District. She was a member of the former St. Cecilia Church and currently a member of St. Peter’s Church and the Silver Linings Group at church. She was also very active in the Senior Circle of Brandywine Hospital. Helen spent many happy days with her beloved dog, “Annie”. Surviving her is a son, Bryan Ehrhart (Kathryn); a daughter, Elizabeth Ferris (Michael); a sister, Patricia Giroult; and the love of her life, her dear granddaughter, Isabella Ferris. Mommom helped raise her from the time of her birth until her passing. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m., Friday, September 7, 2018 at St. Peter’s Church, Manor Road, West Brandywine. Relatives and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday at the Harris Mountain Funeral & Cremation Service, 1030 E. Lincoln Highway, Coatesville.
