Norma Husted

Norma I. (Battelle) Husted 87, mother, grandmother and best friend to her daughter, passed away June 14, 2011 at home in Marana, Arizona. Norma was born in Syracuse, New York to Claude and Thelma Battelle, on October 7, 1923 and lived there most of her life before moving to Tucson with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Nelson; son, Alan and brothers, Eugene, Don, Paul, Jerry and Bruce. Survived by daughter, Sharon (Peter) Taddeo; son, Brian (Trish) Husted; grandchildren, Christine Taddeo, Brian and Lexi Husted; sisters, Joyce (Lee) Stecker and June (Art) Lambert; brother, Neil (Kathy) Battelle; sister-in-law, Judi Battelle and several nieces and nephews. Norma served in WWII and retired from the Veteran's Administration Hospital where she was a nurse. She loved to cook for friends and family and loved to watch AZ Diamondbacks baseball. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. Services will be private; contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association .
